about the school - welcome | Welcome to St. Peter’s CE Primary School website. St. Peter’s is a Church of England Primary School where quality of learning is our priority, enabling every pupil to achieve their full potential within a caring Christian community.
St. Peter’s school has served the children of South Weald since 1857 and it has built up a fine reputation for good all round education.
The school was founded by the church to provide education according to the principles and practices of the Church of England. Being a Church Foundation we are grant aided by the Department for Education and Employment, and maintained by the Local Authority.

about the school - directions | How to find us:
To find us take J28 from the M25, (A12 Brentwood turn off) and follow the A1023 (Brook Street). At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Wigley Bush Lane. Follow the road round and the school is on the left, shortly after you enter the 30mph zone.
The school is situated in beautiful countryside surroundings with South Weald Country Park just around the corner.

Results
Target Setting
The school supports the creation of curricular targets for the whole school. Curricular targets are created by subject leaders for literacy, numeracy, science and ICT. They are created by analysing data available. Data and generic whole school issues are formulated. More specific areas relevant to specific year groups are specified to enable for focused teaching to take place to meet a cohort’s particular needs.
Aspirational targets are set for Year 6 (2010 National Test cohort) and Year 5 (2011 National Test cohort) and also for Year 2 (2010 cohort).
Target Tracker data is used to support teachers in the September of each academic year. This information provides an accurate overview of each particular class and the pupils within in.
