about the school - mission & values | At St Peter's, through our unique and distinct Christian character, we aim to facilitate the broadest academic, spiritual, social and emotional growth possible for each child who passes through our school. At the core of our approach lie the Gospel values, with which we aim to permeate school life. Through a rich and broad child-centred array of experiences, we strive to develop happy, healthy and independent learners, well rounded and suitably equipped for the life ahead of them. St Peter's School ValuesInitiated through our daily collective acts of worship, children are encouraged to develop and display a range of values that the Bible paints in stories of Jesus' life. We aim to provide a rich and diverse experience for our children with the over-riding aim to guide them to understand the value of their education, in turn, allowing them to be effective, independent learners, equipped with core life skills and experiences. We aim to give our children the very best start in their learning journey, inspiring them to be inquisitive life-long learners.

Target Setting The school supports the creation of curricular targets for the whole school. Curricular targets are created by subject leaders for literacy, numeracy, science and ICT. They are created by analysing data available. Data and generic whole school issues are formulated. More specific areas relevant to specific year groups are specified to enable for focused teaching to take place to meet a cohort?s particular needs. Aspirational targets are set for Year 6 pupils and also for Year 2 pupils. Target Tracker data is used to support teachers in the September of each academic year. This information provides an accurate overview of each particular class and the pupils within it. This information is supplied by the School?s Assessment Leader. What the papers say.St. Peter's scores are enviably high in all categories, which we feel reflects the standards and dedication of the staff as well as the atmosphere created in the school as a place of learning. See our links page for more useful local and national education contacts, as well as links to church resources and recommended sites for pupils.
